Rinion and its principal executive brings expertise from a variety of projects in private and public sectors.  

 

The company supported the launch and operation of Georgian Windpower Corporation, provisioning the role of GWC President and CEO and delivering wind farm planning, field data gathering, business plans and executing on those plans. 

 

Rinion's commitment to sustainability and innovation was further exemplified through its work with innovative building systems, such as the Rockport project and early stage passive solar housing. A pioneer in renewable energy innovations, Rinion also ventured into airborne power generation with Board involvement (Chair) for Magenn, developer of a tethered airborne wind power generator. 

 

The company has provided start-up counselling, providing strategic guidance to emerging technology companies such as Vicicog via Advisory Board placements, and Aptech Detectors Inc. 

 

Rinion is not just about executing projects; it contributes significantly to thought leadership, evident from its engaging conference panel moderation on the topic of Artifical Intelligence and climate change, bringing in expertise from OpenText, BluWave AI and Riskthinking.AI. 

 

Rinion President Michael Monette has a background in turbine technology and thermodynamics as well as mechanical engineering, which is being put to use in his role as an Indepent Board Member with INSAT whose mission is  to support sustainable aviation innovations in the Canadian industry.
